Life’s Challenges Help You Grow and stop Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Depression along with other Diseases
A lot of us think that if we could just go undisturbed in everyday life, if we did not have any distractions and if everything went based on plan, we’d be happy. Wrong! We would be bored for sure, but definitely not happy. More to the point, our brain would deteriorate rapidly and we all know what which means – dementia, Alzheimer’s and depression, to name but a few. I bet you don’t want to visit right? If that’s the case, embrace the task because it is a great work-out for your brain!
There’s two leading principles forever competing within our bodymind. One is a masculine principle – this is the principle of continuity and certainty. This principle is dominant in males – that’s why men tend to be orderly and logical, they do something at a time and think in boxes. They don’t want an excessive amount of happening simultaneously and they tend to not deal very well with distractions, especially when you may well ask them to do two things at any given time. Men similar to their routines, certainty and predictability provides them safety and comfort.
While not as dominant, the key of continuity exists in women too. This principle is crucial for survival but detrimental to growth. It’s beneficial short-term because it means you aren’t in pain right now. But too much continuity long-term leads to deterioration and rigidity. This is exactly why the key of continuity has to become balanced by the principle of disruption.
The key of disruption has a feminine energy to it. Just when your left brain thinks you’ve worked everything out, your right brain (the feminine one) will toss in another variable into the mix – it can be an emotion or anything else to consider. Have you noticed that ladies are usually all over the place – thinking and talking about millions of things at a time, changing their mind constantly and being totally unpredictable? This is the disruption principle for action. It creates uncertainty which can be stressful short-term. But it also provides you with the chance to choose and also the flexibility to consider things outside of the box.
Disruption is important for the body just as much as it’s for the mind. Here is how it will help the heart for example. Whenever you exercise, this is a disruption to the heart’s rhythm – the heart has to beat faster to pump more blood. Consequently, one’s heart becomes healthier. Without it disruption one’s heart will rigidify and deteriorate.
The same applies to disruptions in everyday life. Just when you have your holiday prepared, you break your leg – that’s disruption at the office. Certainly painful at this time, but it’s the very thing that forces you to be adaptable and flexible, to get out of your rigidity and become familiar with a valuable lesson that will save your valuable life later on. Disruption forces you to consider the problem and prevents rigidity of the body and mind. It is through disruption that you grow because disruption means possibilities and choice.
Obviously, you cannot have disruption all the time. There needs to be a balance between continuity and disruption and acceptance of both. Ultimately, this balance means an account balance between your feminine and also the masculine energies within the bodymind. The BodyTalk System, that is an energy-based medicine, offers lots of strategies to enhance the balance between the masculine and the feminine. Ultimately the feminine-masculine balance (also called the yin-yang balance) allows you to experience harmony on all levels when confronted with disruptions and challenges.
